Apr 16 2014 Suturing Workshop

Please fill out the following form to enter the lottery for our suturing workshop on Wednesday April 16th.

Instruction will be in a small group format with a surgical resident leading ~5 medical students per group.

Please note we will attempt to schedule beginner session at 6:30-7:30pm and intermediate session at 7:45-8:45pm unless there is particularly high demand for one skill level.

Beginner for students who have never learned suturing before (mostly 1st years). The goal with this group is to go over proper instrument handling, simple interrupted sutures, instrument ties and vertical mattress if there is time.

Intermediate for students who have attended a previous suturing workshop. The goal with this group is to practice /ask questions about previously learned techniques and learn the subcuticular suturing technique if there is interest.

We will be able to accomodate 30 students per time slot. We will hold a lottery if there is higher demand than there are spots and let you know by Friday April 11th.

- I have never learned suturing before.
- I have attended 1 MSAC suturing workshop OR the FMPR 2nd year suturing workshop
- I have attended 2+ suturing workshops OR I feel comfortable with the basics
